Step aboard Wyoming railroad history at the Douglas Railroad Museum and Visitor Center.
The Douglas Railroad Museum and Visitor Center is housed inside the historic Fremont, Elkhorn & Missouri Valley Railroad Passenger Depot, one of Douglas's most recognizable landmarks. Restored and updated in 2018, the museum features exhibits that tell the story of the railroad's role in shaping Douglas and the surrounding region.

The depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is surrounded by seven historic railcars, including Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Steam Locomotive No. 5633. Visitors are invited to climb aboard several of the railcars, including a passenger coach, dining car, and caboose exhibit.
Don't forget to ask about the model train display located in the back room!
Admission is free, although donations are appreciated. The facility is ADA accessible and offers onsite parking, picnic shelters, restrooms, drinking water, and free Wi-Fi access.
The museum grounds also host community events throughout the year, including Jackalope Days, Hot Nights in the Park, farmers markets, and other special gatherings.
The park and grounds may be reserved for special events through the City of Douglas.
