Douglas Railroad Days:
Douglas celebrates its railway heritage each June during Douglas Railroad Days. It’s an event that earns the attention of the local
community and train enthusiasts from far and wide. Held at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds, attendees will also want to visit the train exhibits at the local Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center. The Center itself is housed in a historic train depot with a steam engine and other railroad vehicles on display in the surrounding yard. The 2010 event, planned for June 2-6, is being combined with Jackalope Days, a time when the Douglas community recognizes its infamous Jackalope.
