Glenrock’s Deer Creek Museum provides a local, yet nationally significant, look at western settlement. The museum stands near the route of the Oregon Trail. Rock in the Glen, rocks on which pioneer travelers carved their names and Glenrock’s namesake, can be seen in the background. Access to the historic sites is just down the street from the museum. The museum’s displays include information on the Oregon Trail, the Bozeman Trail, homesteaders, early day residents and military veterans from the community.
